What is Goat Sand Volleyball?
Goat Sand Volleyball is an inclusive sand volleyball league built around community, connection, competition, and fun on the sand. All skill levels are welcome.
The league consists of six weeks of regular season play, with team standings determining placement for the Week 7 mini tournament held on the final night of the league.
What’s the overall vibe?
Goat Sand Volleyball is social-first and welcoming to all experience levels. Whether you’re playing for fun, fitness, competition, or to meet people, the league is designed to create a high-energy and community-focused atmosphere both on and off the court.
Are there different skill divisions?
No. Goat Sand Volleyball operates as one inclusive league with all skill levels playing together.
Is there a playoff at the end of the league?
Yes. Weeks 1–6 are regular season league play. Team standings throughout the season determine placement for the Week 7 mini tournament held on the league’s final night.

How do I sign up?
Team – Single SessionRegister for one session only.
Free Agent (Individual)Sign up individually and be placed on a Goat Getters Team with other free agents.
Important: Registration for free agents closes 10 days prior to the advertised session deadline to allow time for Goat Getters Teams to be created.
What is a Goat Getters Team?
Goat Getters Teams are made up of players who signed up as free agents (individual players).
Players may change session to session
Attendance can vary week to week
The focus is on playing, meeting people, and having fun
Once registration closes and the team is formed, a captain will be appointed from the group of free agents, ensuring smooth communication and coordination. Goat Getters Teams are scheduled and treated just like any other team.
How many players can be on a team?
Teams may roster 4–10 players, including substitutes used throughout league play.

Can we play if we are short players?
Yes. Teams may play with a minimum of 4 players.
Matches are ideally played 6v6, but may also be played 4v4 or 5v5 depending on attendance that night. Team captains should agree on the format before the match begins.
If captains cannot agree, the match format defaults to the team with fewer players.
Are there gender requirements?
No. Goat Sand Volleyball leagues do not have gender requirements.

How does scoring work?
Matches consist of 3 sets, and all 3 sets must be played.

Win by 2
25-point cap per set
Each set won counts as 1 point toward league standings
Maximum of 3 points per match
Even if a team wins the first two sets, the third set must still be played because every set impacts standings and playoff placement.

Are games self-officiated?
Yes. All matches are self-officiated.
Captains should lead rule discussions. If teams cannot agree on a call, a coin toss determines the outcome.

Are games cancelled for weather?
No. Games are not automatically cancelled due to weather.
If teams wish to reschedule:
Captains must communicate through the LeagueApps captain chat
Both teams must agree before the original match time
One captain must email the updated match request to the volleyball coordinator and/or goatsandvolleyball@lifestylecommunities.com at least 24 hours before the originally scheduled match time.
If teams do not reschedule before game time, the match is considered cancelled and no make-up game is allowed.

Is LeagueApps required?
Yes. All players and captains are expected to use LeagueApps for:
Schedules
Forfeits
Scores
Team communication
League updates
Team Captain Chat for coordinating rescheduled matches

Who submits scores?
Team captains must submit scores in LeagueApps immediately after each match.
All three set scores must be entered accurately since standings determine playoff placement.

What is the age requirement?
Goat Sand Volleyball is 21+ only.
Can I bring outside food or alcohol?
No outside food or alcohol is permitted.
Outside alcohol may result in immediate removal and league ban.
Glass containers are not allowed near the courts.
What happens if a team no-shows?
After 5 minutes: Set 1 is forfeited
After 20 minutes: Entire match is forfeited
Two no-shows may result in removal from the league without refund

Can I rent a sand volleyball court for a private event?
Yes! We offer both one-time and recurring sand volleyball court rentals for a variety of uses, including private events, birthday parties, corporate outings, volleyball clubs, practices, tournaments, and other group gatherings.
